Founded in 2007 by Davis Capital Group CEO Richard Davis, the DCG Charitable Foundation is a non-profit community foundation that focuses on lesser known Carolina based charities who work to impact the lives of children.   Growing up in humble circumstances as a child of missionaries, Mr. Davis witnessed first hand the effects of hunger and poverty on children.  As an adult, Mr. Davis determined himself to do something about those children he grew up with.  From these childhood experiences, The DCG Charitable Foundation was created. 

The mission of the DCG Charitable Foundation is to support organizations whose programs provide for disabled, underprivileged, at-risk, and homeless children.  One of the unique characteristics of the DCG Foundation is its vision to build strategic partnerships with private and corporate allies who believe in the importance of improving the lives of needy children.

Realizing a world where children do not have to starve or worry about staying warm will take more than the actions of one person.  Community is one of the most powerful words in the English language because it requires everyone’s participation.  When everyone resolves themselves to address an issue, nothing but success can result.  The DCG Charitable Foundation resolves itself to lead its community to impact the world, one child at a time.
